Abstract
This thesis deals with studying the removal of toxic heavy metals ions, Toxic Cu2+
were removed by cementation on Zinc metal. Cr6+ is reduced to non toxic Cr3+ in presence
of iron and sulfuric acid. Adsorption of Cu2+ to the surface of activated alumina.The extent
to which organic compounds (alkyl amine-alkyl ethanol amine and halides aniline
derivatives) affect the oxidation reaction, cementation reaction, was studied.
This thesis contains three chapters:
1-The first chapter represents the definition of pollution, pollution with metals, toxicity
of chromium or nikel or lead and copper and methods used for removal the metals
ions as well as literature survey on the previous work.
