Abstract

In textile plants, bio stimulants can affect fruit quality. Bio stimulants are among the best modern sustainable biological plant growth promoters. They have been proven to eliminate plant diseases and abiotic stresses, leading to maximizing yields. Additionally, they have been listed as environmentally friendly biofertilizers. The focus of the present review is the use of bio stimulants foliar spray as an ecological friendly product. Bio-stimulants can be classified into different substances including humic substances, amino acids, nitrogenated compounds, inorganic compounds, seaweed and botanical extracts, chitin, biopolymers. Sea weed and other algal biomass may be very important for plants culture that enhance soil fertility and crop productivity. In addition, it effects seed germination, plant growth, yield, fruit set, resistance to biotic and abiotic stress and extending shelf life of harvested fruits. Humic substances are natural components of soil organic matters which influence the retention of micro nutrients by changing the pH. Therefore, it became an important tool to solve environmental problems related to soil. Micro-organisms including Trichoderma spp can induce rapid growth of roots and intensive production of secondary roots. Protein or amino acids-based stimulants can affect biological processes acting directly as a single molecule or affecting plant hormones.
