Abstract The purpose of this study was to design a Content-Based Instruction Program for the EFL Physiotherapy Freshmen at Bani-Swief University. The program was tailored to address Physiotherapy Freshmen’s needs in Oral-Presentation Skills. The populations of the study consisted of 40 students of Physiotherapy Freshmen, who were selected randomly to participate in the study. The researcher adopted the quasi-experimental one-group design and all the students underwent to one experimental group. The populations were first pre-tested by the pre-test designed by the researcher, and then the tailored program was taught. At the end of the program the students again were post-tested by the researcher to estimate the programs’ goals. After the geometric and statistical treatment of the electronic data, the study findings exposed that, there were significant statistical differences between the main scores of the pre-test and those of the post-test in the enhancement of the Oral-Presentation Skills and the linguistic self-efficacy in favor of the post enrollment. Consequently, the tailoring program for the EFL physiotherapy freshmen manifested to be effective in enhancing their Oral-Presentation Skills and their linguistic self- efficacy. At the end of the dissertation, recommendations and suggestions for further studies were recommended. |
