Abstract Secondary clinical attack rate among the household contacts was higher than globally reported rates. Sharing a room with the primary case and taking care of the primary case increased the risk of developing symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 among household contacts. Vaccination and using personal protective equipment like masks and face shields had important roles in lowering the risk of developing symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 among household contacts. The presence of co-morbidities increased the risk of developing symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 and risk of hospitalization among household contacts. |
