Abstract The thesis is concerned with an analytical investigation for the thermophoresis and photopheresis of a spherical and cylindrical aerosol particle embedded in a porous medium. It also includes a perturbation analysis is presented to study the Brinkman flow in a micro-channel having two parallel impermeable bumpy walls. The results are represented graphically for various physical parameters for all problems. Chapter one deals with the basic definitions of tensor algebra and the equation of motions of viscous fluid. The basic definitions of porous medium, Darcy’s law, thermophoresis, photopheresis and Brinkman equation are also presented. Different types of the applications of the basic concepts are discussed. |
