Abstract

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is common in coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) and the severity of AKI is linked to adverse outcomes
Age, male gender, comorbidities, which are risk factors for mortality in patients with COVID-19 in the general population,
In our research AKI is common in patients hospitalized with COVID- 19 with an incidence of around 44%. The most common cause of kidney injury in patients with COVID-19 is acute tubular injury which represents 71% from all patients with AKI
All patients with covid-19 and developed AKI need for renal replacement therapy (RRT) and supportive management
Overall, the findings of this study indicate that:
Acute kidney injury was a frequent complication of COVID-19.
CKD were risk factors with different results in our research as following CKD patients discharged, died or reach to hemodialysis
. Identification of the etiological mechanism of AKI and strategy aimed to prevention And early detection of AKI are urgently required as AKI is nondependent predictor of all-cause mortality in
COVID -19.
