Abstract Thoracolumbar fractures represent common and disabeling problem in blunt trauma patients. It is very important to exclude spine injury in every trauma patient admitted to emergency department. Saftey measures are highly recommended to prevent these injuries. Motor car accident and pedstirian accidents are common causes of spine fractures so strict rules on roads and streets should be applied. Spine fractures have a burden on human well being and community economics. We should keep in mind the possibility of spine injury in every multitrauma patients. Prroper training of the paramedics about spine injury and spine immobiliztion in patients suspected with spine injury. Record system should be established to record all patients and to follow their clinical status as Data and information are very important in improving health care and approaches of managements. Multicentre study with large number of patients should be carried out for better evaluation of different types of spine injuries. |
