Abstract

The objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of different parameters on cooling towers recirculation. The study is performedusing Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to investigate the effect of wind speedof 3, 5, 7 and 10 m/s, parallel and cross wind direction, different architectural louvers locations, different parapet wall heights, different fan stack heights and different fans exit velocities. The amount of recirculation and the resultant wet bulb temperature due to variation of each parameter is presented and analyzed
