Abstract
The thesis discusses the urban pockets as a phenomena that spreads in Greater Cairo Region. It suggests Urban regeneration as an approach to regenerate the urban pockets in Greater Cairo Region. Urban regeneration is considered an effective tool to solve many urban problems. Also it may help finding a long term solution for physical, environmental, social and economic concerns in the contemporary city.
