Abstract

Two novel Schiff bases of (E)-2-((6-aminopyridin-2-yl)imino)indolin-3-one (L¹) and 2-((Z)-((Z)-2-((6-aminopyridin-2-yl)imino)indolin-3-ylidene)amino)-3-methylpentanoic acid (HL²) with their complexes with Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) were prepared and subjected to many analytical techniques such as elemental analyses, mass spectroscopy, IR, ¹H NMR and solid reflectance spectra, molar conductance, XRD, SEM and thermal analyses techniques. The biological activity (antimicrobial and antibreastic cancer activity) of the ligands and their complexes were also screened
