Abstract

This work is concerned with the quantitative determination of some veterinary compounds namely Fenbendazole and Rafoxanide in their co-formulated mixture and Marbofloxacin in their pure forms, laboratory prepared mixtures and their available pharmaceutical formulations without interference from the excipient. This thesis comprises three parts. Part I: Introduction and literature review. Part II: Analytical study of Fenbendazole and Rafoxanide, this part is divided into three sections. Section A: Comparative study on the selectivity of various spectrophotometric techniques for the simultaneous determination of Fenbendazole and Rafoxanide, namely first derivative, derivative ratio, ratio difference, dual wavelength, H-point standard addition and ratio subtraction coupled with iso-absorpitive point. Section B: chromatographic methods, this section is subdivided into two subsections. Subsection B.A.: High performance liquid chromatographic method. Subsection B.B.: High performance thin layer chromatographic densitometric method for their simultaneous determination. Section C: Thermal analysis investigation of Fenbendazole and Rafoxanide. Part III: Determination of Marbofloxacin, this part is divided into four sections, section A: Determination of Marbofloxacin by Atomic absorption spectrometry. Section B: Comparative study between conventional and synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy for the determination of Marbofloxacin. Section C: potentiometric determination of Marbofloxacin by ion selective electrode. Section D: Comparison between the proposed methods for determination of Marbofloxacin
