Abstract Antireflection coatings (ARC) have been prepared experimentally for optical and electro-optical applications in single wavelengths to reduce reflections from the surface of the glass. Moreover; the program was developed to determine the optimum thickness of the MgF2 single layer. Antireflection coating setup was deposited on a glass substrate using electron gun, thermal evaporation, and pulsed laser deposition techniques. The optical and microstructural properties of single-layer of MgF2 films were characterized by UV-VIS spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and atomic force microscope (AFM), respectively. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis confirms the compositional analysis films. Our experimental results are in excellent agreement with theoretical calculations |
