Abstract
This study aimed to assess the relation between hepatic encephalopathy and diabetes mellitus ( duration of treatment and degree of control ) in patients with post-HCV liver cirrhosis.This study was conducted in Tropical Medicine Department, Zagazig University Hospitals .The study included 264 cirrhotic patients, they were categorized into 2 groups:group I: post-HCV liver cirrhosis with diabetes mellitus (132 patients) (test group). group II: post-HCV liver cirrhosis without diabetes (132 patients) ( control group) .
