Abstract Candida spp. are among the most common fungal pathogens. As these organisms show a range of susceptibilities to existing antifungal drugs, distinguishing them is important for the selection of antifungal therapy. Fluconazole resistance is an important type of resistance in Candida species. The study included a total of 100 Candida isolates were collected from 6 adult ICUs where species identification and antifungal susceptibility pattern were done using API 20 C AUX and ATB FUNGUS 3 respectively. Most common species was Candida famata (37%) followed by Candida tropicalis (15%). Fluconazole reduced susceptibility were found in (23%) of isolates |
