Abstract

All {u2013}on-4 treatment protocol proved to be an efficient design for the rehabilitation of an edentulous maxilla where four implants are placed in bone acting as 2corner stones3, two anterior axial implants in the central/lateral inscisor region and two posterior tilted implants in the premolar/molar region . Conventional implant placement is not reliable for precise determination of implant size or for prevention of intraoperative anatomic complications, and can thus reduce the predictability of the implant placement procedure Thus, in light of the need for implementation of available treatment planning resources in implantology, virtual planning and rapid prototyping techniques have come to provide an excellent choice in the search for satisfactory outcomes with lower intra- and postoperativecomplication rates. Presurgical planning is more critical when restoring a completely edentuloys ridge where the anatomical landmarks are conflicting and need to be considered before implant surgery to achieve both function and esthetics especially when flapless surgery is planned. The use streolithographic surgical template provided prosthodontic considerations before surgery, guiding the drilling procedure and preventing the unexpected surgical complications, it provided information on the accurate location of anatomical landmarks and bone quality under the oral mucosa. The sterolithographic surgical guides are a product of rapid prototyping concept. It is defined as a set of defined technology-based processes that enable the fabrication of 3D objects from a computer aided design (CAD) project
