Abstract

New frictional composite materials consists of basic elements, as tribological elements, reinforcement elements, binder elements and modifier frictional elements to obtain proposed samples, have been studied. Standard coefficient of friction, wear rate, rigidity against external mechanical stresses, suitable thermal conductivity and suitable level of acoustic noise during frictional tests have been investigated. A numerical simulation using finite element analysis (ABAQUS) has been performed into 3D stresses, surface deformation and temperature analysis for the proposed shape for HST frictional pad has been studied
