Abstract This article describes a technique and reports on the early healing for localized sinus augmentation using a crestal approach in combination with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) concentrate. Patients and subject: The presented study was done on 10 patients (8 female and 2 male). They looked for fixed restoration of their lost maxillary posterior teeth. Their ages were ranged from 30-50 years. The estimated residual bone height (RSBH), as measured on a preoperative digital radiograph, was 4 to 8 mm. using osteotome-mediated sinus floor elevation (OMSFE) with PRF. CBCT finding the mean RSBH of the alveolar crest was 6.6 mm (range, 4-8 mm). The mean increase in the height of implant sites by OMSFE was 3.4 mm (range, 2.5-5mm). The mean healing time for the loaded implants was 4 months until abutment insertion and after this period final prosthesis was done. The OMSFE/PRF technique presented for localized sinus floor elevation and implant placement demonstrates a high degree of safety and success at sites with 5- to 8-mm residual subantral bone height |
