Abstract

Trans arterial chemoembolization is a locoregional ablative proceadure commonly used for non resectable hepatocellular carcinomas.Selective embolization of tumor vessels with chemotherapeutic agents reduces tumoral blood flow and prolongs its contact with the chemotherapeutic agents. However, enhancement on DCE-MRI post TACE represents either residual tumoral tissue mixed with necrotic regions or granulation tissue. Aim of the study : Further tools additive tools are needed as DWI and subtracted DCE-MRI to assess tumour viability and need for futher TACE sessions. Our aim is to evaluate the specificity , sensitivity and assign a confidence level for readers using both techniques
