Abstract Objective: The correlation between feto-maternal color Doppler indices and high risk pregnancy. Design: Across sectional study. Subjects: 20 preeclampsia patients, 20 gestational diabetes patients and control. Methods: Doppler studies of UA, MCA and UTA were done all subjects as well as routine obstetric ultrasound examination. Results: Statistically significant differences were detected between preeclampsia group and control group regarding Doppler indices of UA, MCA and UTA. While no statistically significant difference was detected between gestational diabetic group and control group. Conclusion: Doppler investigation of the feto-maternal circulation plays an important role in monitoring high risk pregnancies complicated by placental vascular insufficiency and fetal growth restriction (FGR). In a relatively well-controlled diabetic pregnancies not complicated by preeclampsia or FGR the values of color Doppler indices are similar to normal pregnancy |
