Abstract

This thesis is aimed at developing an econometric analysis on how modern agriculture can be a fundamental instrument for reducing multidimensional poverty in Uganda. It demonstrates the importance of agriculture in reducing inequalities amongst the poor focusing on the relationship between increasing productions from modern agricultural practices and poverty level across the country. The study utilizes the applications of box-jenkins approach to cereal production data and econometric analysis as the main tool to understand the underlying dynamics of modern agricultural practices in Uganda
