Abstract Introduction: Hepatocellular Carcinoma is considered one of the important diseases that require early diagnosis and quality follow up for providing the patient with proper management and studying the disease evolution. Sound and consistent patient information is considered the cornerstone for reaching better treatment decisions and proper management plan for patients. Materials and methods: The study consisted of 2 main phases: phase I: Planning and situation analysis and phase II: Design and development phase to create both paper based clinical summary sheet and a supporting electronic database. Results: The output was an information system especially designed and tailor-made for HCC patients at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, which can be implemented in the future to ameliorate the services provided and strengthen the quality of scientific research |
