Abstract This work is concerned with using a methodology for eliminating the effect of unwanted interference in a certain direction applied to the radiation pattern of a linear array antenna. The results shows the efficiency of the proposed technique in achieving perfect wide nulls with depth of-75 db which improves the results than previously proposed solutions by a percentage of 11%-26%. The number of iterations is less than previous used techniques in literature with improvement of 83%. The results obtained using the IAPSO algorithm is then applied to the CST Microwave Studio to verify the robustness of the used algorithm for being applied for Hardware design. Multi-objective PSO was applied. The goal is to obtain the 2minimum average side lobe level3 and a 2null control3 at specific directions. A set of non-dominated solutions were obtained where each of them can be used according to the application |
