Abstract
Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of bleaching agent on the surface roughness of the Nano-filled bulk fill resin composite in comparison to Nano-hybrid bulk fill resin composite material. Methods: A total number of 64 resin composite discs were used. Specimens were randomly divided into two main groups according to the material used whetherTetric N-ceram or FiltekTM bulk fill. Half of the specimens were then subjected to the bleaching agent. Suface roughness was evaluated using a profilometer. A two way ANOVA test was used. Results: Before and after the application of the bleaching agent, a statistical insignificant increase in the surface roughness of Tetric N-ceram compared to the FiltekTMbulkfill. Conclusion: On comparing the two materials together the nanofilled and the nanohybrid bulk fill resin composite showed no significant increase in surface roughness after bleaching
