Abstract

The present thesis deals with the locations of equilibrium points of the restricted three body problem and their linear stability when the massive primary is triaxial and the small one is oblate spheroid, as well as the relativistic corrections. The thesis is organized so as to include five chapters, they are ordered as follows: The first chapter: is an introduction in which the previous work in the subject is reviewed. In the second chapter: the basic scientific materials relevant to the topic of the thesis subject, e.g. the restricted three body problem, the equations of motion in the rotating frame of reference was presented. Computing the locations of the libration points and analyzing their linear stability are addressed. In the third chapter: An approximate locations of the collinear equilibrium points in the circular restricted three body problem are obtained under the effect of the considered perturbations. In chapter four: the equations of motion of the problem are linearized around the collinear points, and their stability are analyzed. In chapter five: Under the considered model, the locations of triangular equilibrium points of the relativistic restricted elliptic problem are obtained.
