Abstract Dermoscopy is a non-invasive, technique that improves the diagnosis of suspected skin lesions in clinical practice and improves the confidence in the diagnosis of benign lesions, also reducing the number of unnecessary biopsies. Tissue biopsy is an invasive technique that is generally important for the diagnosis of any skin lesion, and it is specifically mandated to confirm the diagnosis of malignant skin lesions. As clinicopathologic correlation may be the clue to a very difficult differential diagnosis, accordingly, this work aimed to correlate between clinical, dermoscopic, and histopathological features of benign popular/ nodular skin tumors of the head and neck. This study was an observational, descriptive study conducted at Alexandria University Hospitals on 54 patients who were attending the Dermatology, Venereology, and Andrology outpatient clinic at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University. Patients of both sexes were diagnosed with head and neck papular/nodular benign tumors clinically and dermoscopically with no evidence of maligna |
