Abstract Among the various techniques available for depigmentation which include scalpel technique, bur abrasion, lasers, cryosurgery, electrosurgery and chemical agents. Bur abrasion and scalpel techniques are some of the most common techniques for depigmentation due to their ease of use, no need for special equipment, time efficient and low rates of pigmentation recurrence. On the other hand, they are associated with bleeding, post-operative pain and the need for periodontal pack use. Non-eugenol containing periodontal pack is widely used as a periodontal dressing material to protect the surgical wound by acting as a mechanical barrier and stabilizing the blood clot. PRF is a second-generation platelet concentrate that has been proven to have superior regeneration and wound healing properties |
