Compatibility is a basic concept in psychology in general, and in mental health, and most of an individual’s behavior is nothing but an attempt on his part to achieve compatibility either on a personal level or on a social level. In its realization, the concept of compatibility is a relative concept governed by the culture in which the individual engages. An individual may suffer from poor compatibility in a society and feel alienated, and when he moves to another society, he feels belonging and compatibility with the new society, and the relative concept of compatibility is governed by the time in which the individual lives. It is also governed by the individual’s environment, “it is a stable balance between the living organism and the environment in which it lives, or it is a state of homogeneous relations with the environment so that the individual can obtain the necessary satisfaction for his needs, considering the variables in the environment.
Compatibility is one of the most frequently used terms in psychological and social sciences, and compatibility has been used with different meanings, such as (adaptation, adaptation, harmony) and a manifestation of mental health, and compatibility is a concept derived from biological science and used in the concept of adaptation. Compatibility is achieved by satisfying the individual’s psychological needs, accepting himself, enjoying a life free from tensions, conflicts, and psychological disturbances, and enjoying intimate social relations. (Sufyan 2004: 152(
In view of the importance of psychological adjustment in the fields of learning and training and its impact on the level of motor performance, so the inability of the athlete in his psychological adjustment means his failure to deal with his environment and his inability to solve the various problems he faces, including in the field of academic learning, as learning is a mental process in which many people intervene. Psychological, physiological, mental, and social factors, as well as the physical conditions surrounding the learner, the teaching methods, the contents of the curricula, and the number of motives and barriers that the individual has to start the learning process and to continue to exert effort and energy. Its features, characteristics, and aspects (physical, psychological, mental, social). Hence, it becomes clear to us the importance of psychological compatibility through its relationship to the level of performance in various sports activities. Psychological factors have a great deal in achieving success in the level of performance of all sports activities, whether individual or collective. The urgent desire to obtain more progress and advancement, which is represented in the field of movement, is one of the confirmed characteristics of its production. (Mustafa Bahi 2006: 70)
Psychological adjustment has a significant impact on the level of performance of various sports activities, and at the same time, individual and group sports activities develop many important psychological factors and manifestations in the process of psychological adjustment, which is a sign of good mental health. (Mustafa Bahey 2002: 106)
The university stage is considered one of the important stages in shaping an individual’s life in the future, and this stage is considered complementary to the stage of pre-university education. It represents the importance of the university stage in that it contributes to the balanced physical, psychological, social, and mental development, so that these students are characterized by mental health. (Mustafa Bahey 2002:128)
Research Aims:
The research aims to identify:
The relationship between psychological adjustment and emotional arousal and the level of skill performance when performing practical exams for the students of the fourth year, specializing in volleyball.
Research hypotheses:
1- There is a relationship between psychological adjustment and emotional arousal when performing the practical exams for the students of the fourth year, specializing in volleyball.
2- There is a relationship between psychological adjustment the level of skill performance when performing practical exams for the students of the fourth year, specializing in volleyball.
3-there is -the relationship between emotional arousal and the level of skill performance when performing practical exams for the students of the fourth year, specializing in volleyball.
Research Methodology:
The researcher used the descriptive analytical method due to its relevance to the procedures of this study.
Population and research sample:
The research community represents the students of the fourth-year majoring (volleyball) at the Faculty of Physical Education for Girls, Zagazig University for the academic year 2020/2021 AD, and their number is (38) students who were chosen in a deliberate way. The researcher withdrew (12) female students at random as an exploratory sample to conduct scientific transactions on it (honesty - reliability), so the main research sample became (26) students, and a table (2) shows the distribution of the research sample.
Data collection methods and tools:
First: Tools and Equipments:
A- Search tools:
- chalk - graduated ruler - medicine ball - tennis ball - tape measure - whistle
- Ropes - Funnels - Swedish seat
b- Search devices:
- The restometer: for measuring height (in centimeters) and weight (in kilograms).
- Dynamometer: to measure the muscular strength of the legs (in kilograms).
- Stopwatch: to count the time (in seconds).
Second: Data collection forms:
• Expert opinion survey forms to determine the physical variables of the skills under discussion in volleyball and the most appropriate tests for them. Annex (2).

Statistical processors:
The researcher used the Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) package, which includes the following treatments:
- SMA. - standard deviation. Correlation coefficient.
- percentage. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Variance analysis.

Conclusions and Recommendations:
First: the conclusions
1- There is a statistically significant relationship between psychological adjustment and emotional arousal among the research sample.
2- There are no statistically significant differences in the degrees of psychological compatibility when performing practical exams for some group and individual games.
3- There are statistically significant differences in the degrees of emotional arousal when performing practical exams for some group and individual games.
Second: Recommendations:
1- Considering that a high degree of emotional arousal is necessary for sports performance that requires muscular strength and speed, while this height is an obstacle to sports performance that requires kinetic coordination.
2- Faculty members confirm how to deal with emotional arousal within practical exams.
3- There should be continuous follow-up of the psychological state of the students to identify their emotional states.
4- Considering the economic and living conditions and the economic level of the family. The higher the material and educational level of the family, the greater the student’s compatibility and educational achievement and vice versa.
