The current study sought to investigate the effectiveness of a proposed
strategy based on Woods Model to develop the skills of science processes
and achievement in science for primary school students, and to achieve this
goal; The researcher used the experimental method, where the research
group consisted of (64) male and female students of the sixth grade of
primary school, they were divided into two groups: the first experimental
group consisted of (32) male and female students who were taught by the
proposed strategy, and the second control group consisted of (32) male and
female students were taught to them by the usual method, and an
achievement test for the two units ”the universe, structure and function in
living organisms” was built, and a scale of science operations skills was
built, where they were applied before and after on the two research
groups,The results revealed that there were statistically significant
differences between the mean scores of the students for the experimental
and control groups in the achievement test and the scale of science
operations in the dimensional application in favor of the experimental
group,The results showed the effectiveness of the proposed strategy based
on the Woods model in developing the skills of science operations and
