Abstract Purpose: to evaluate the efficacy of the pulsed electromagnetic field therapy in accelerating pressure ulcers healing. Methods of evaluation (wound surface area and colony count). Methods:- Thirty patients of complete or incomplete spinal cord injury patients with pressure ulcers were randomly divided into two groups. group (A) received the pulsed electromagnetic field therapy plus the regular wound care. group (B) received only the regular wound care. Results:- Results showed that the pulsed electromagnetic field therapy was effective and beneficial in decreasing ulcer surface area and colony count as well as improving healing of pressure ulcers. Conclusion: - Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy was effective in accelerating pressure ulcer healing |
