Abstract The present thesis is devoted to numerically investigate the air distribution in the five prayers times (FAJR, DHUHUR, ASER, MAGHREB and ESHAA) inside a typical mosque . The example shown here is for an archaeological mosque of moderate capacity (900 prayers) Located in 2Sayda Zeinab3 downtown Cairo. The study is carried out using (CFD) simulation using a commercial CFD code, namely FLUENT® version 14. The CFD modelling techniques solved the continuity, momentum, energy, and species transport equations. Mesh sizes used in the present work exceeded 5,300,000 approximately.in this study, all case that was used achieved the ASHRAE comfort conditions within the occupied zones in the mosque for the average air velocity, average temperature and averge rlative humidity |
