Abstract
from March 2014 to February 2016, a prospective randomized analytical clinical study was done to compare the functional outcome of group of patients undergoing reconstruction of the superficial Medial collateral ligament using the ipsilateral semitendinosus tendon and a group undergoing reconstruction of superficial MCL using the contralateral semitendinosus tendon for medial knee instability. The material of this study includes thirty (30) patients with knee medial instability. Patients were divided into two groups, fifteen (15) patients each. group A underwent superficial MCL reconstruction using the ipsilateral semitendinosus tendon, while group B underwent reconstruction of the superficial MCL using the contralateral semitendinosus tendon.
