المستخلص This study examines the generational transformations of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). These transformations are represented in the waning ability of the basic organization to achieve internal control in the face of the emergence of a new generation, which is the most numerous within the organizational structure of MB, which is mainly based on the idea of hierarchy in the leaders and organizational ranks, and its decisions are issued centrally from the higher leadership to the lower-ranked officials until it reaches the bases of battalions members and families. In MB, the older leaders occupy a distinguished position on the basis of the principles of hearing, obedience, and patriarchal authority, as they are more aware, experienced, and able to make sacrifices for the sake of MB’s survival. This study started from a specific goal, which is identifying the generations of MB, with a focus on the characteristics of its youth and the distinctive experiences of this generation, and the forms of change it was exposed to, especially with regard to the culture of hearing and obedience, the principle of patriarchy, and the literature of distress and |
