Abstract
The present study aims to shed more lights on the importance of the mechanical transmission of parasites by insect vectors. It dealt with three main approaches; The first part was a field study to find out the vector’s species found in the study areas outlining their diversity. The second part included experimental studies for explanation and interpretation about the mechanisms of transmission and the behavior of the vectors. The third part was a study of the surface ultra-structure of the insects using scanning electron microscope, to reveal the relation between the functional morphology of the surface organs and the mechanical transmission of different parasites.
