Abstract Experimental and analytical programs have been carried out to investigate the flexural behavior of un-bonded post-tensioned (PT) concrete slabs strengthened with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sheets. A total of eight slab specimens are tested in the current experimental program. The effect of different configurations of CFRP on ultimate load carrying capacity and mode of failure of the slabs is investigated. The results show that externally bonded CFRP sheets can increase the flexural capacity and the initial stiffness of the PT slabs with reducing ductility compared to the control slabs. |
