Abstract A question answering unit in an educational system can be very beneficial and effective. This is because the process of learning began from students themselves. The need for such systems is higher in the context of the Arabic language. This is because of the scarcity of Arabic QA systems, which can be attributed to the great challenges they present to the research community. A closed ontology-based question answering system is decided to be the type of question answering system that is suitable for educational perspectives. Consequently, a robust ontology is used to represent the curriculum. The system is supposed to answer Arabic questions and consequently address Arabic NLP challenges. However, it is good to mention that it is not restricted to that domain or the Arabic language. It is an adaptable question answering system that can be adjusted to serve another domain and other Latin languages. |
