The aim of this letter is to shed light on aspects of the political and constitutional reform of two of Egypt’s greatest revolutions: those of 25 January 2011 and 30 June 2013. The causes, results and events have come to us as an epic reflecting the history of this great people and their quest for their rights and the enjoyment of their freedoms, which they have proudly experienced since the dawn of history and documented on the walls of their temples and daily lives.
- Since the creation of mankind, the human person enjoys general natural rights and freedoms God has endowed him with , the Constitution has been to protect them and establish legal frameworks for their access and rights, but the obstacles to this are the tyranny of the ruling power of all times to diminish these rights and freedoms or to create obstacles to their rights and use, this is the main cause of revolutions.
- Without the support of the army and the armed forces for the people’s will at the time of the revolutions of 25 January 2011 and 30 June 2013, Egypt entered into the worst-case scenario in its history, namely the total absence of the role of State institutions and the spread of tribal and sectarian conflicts as a result of the absence of law.
- We have ensured that this study addresses many important legal and political aspects such as:
1-Clarification of the concept of revolution and its distinction from military coup d ’état.
2-The features of the Egyptian revolutions have been distinguished from other revolutions in the world, such as the French and American revolutions, where the Egyptian revolutions have influenced their legitimate demands for political and constitutional reforms peacefully and without resorting to violence and vandalism.
3-The impact of the constitution ends with the establishment of the revolution without the slightest influence on domestic legislation and external conventions. If it initially contained aspects of political and constitutional reform of peoples’ needs, the revolutions would not have taken place.
- The revolution of 25 January 2011 began with the participation and welcome of all the revolutionary forces and currents and reached its goal shortly with President Mubarak’s disengagement from governing in 11/2/2011, despite the trend of political and constitutional reform adopted by the State and sought by the rebels at the outset But the Muslim Brotherhood soon captured the thought of the street and deceived it with the misleading Renaissance Project, which envisaged the traitors of state institutions and control over all the reins of government and ended the people’s demands for reform, To begin a new, timeless revolution in Egypt’s history of 30 June 2013.
- Perhaps the most important constitutional reforms in the history of Egypt is the constitution of year 2014 with its texts that paved the way for the principle of separation of powers and their balance in terms of competencies, and included some new rights and freedoms such as the rights of women, children, the disabled and the elderly, and even fixed what was previously mentioned at the constitution of year 2012 of some deviations in the course of reforms. List on the basis of exclusivity and intellectual rigidity.
- The best outcome of political reform in any country is the participation of all the political and party forces and currents of society in the rule without the control of a particular faction or a single political party that directs public life wherever its members want to achieve their personal goals in monopolizing power and state institutions, and perhaps the most important political reforms of the Constitution of 2014 In this regard, the party affiliation of the head of state is prohibited.
- That all aspects of economic and social development that have been achieved in Egypt, and are still being achieved after President ElSisi assumed the presidency in 2014, are a natural result of the political will that pursued the distance from monopolizing power and took upon itself the goals of empowering youth, caring for the rights of women and minorities, and achieving social justice. In order to reach the results and goals of two glorious revolutions in the modern history of Egypt.
