It also aimed to investigate the role media actors can play in facing the danger of the spread of fourth-generation wars through various media while extracting the code for dealing with fourth-generation battles in light of the study’s results.
The study concluded that the majority of the respondents have had positive cognitive attitudes towards fourth-generation wars, and that they acquire a high degree of awareness regarding its dangers, and the extent of their understanding of its subversive goals in Egypt and the Arab region, and the majority of the respondents had negative attitudes towards the handling of websites for these wars, and the experts unanimously agreed It is an information war that directs the human mind and targets civil societies, and depends on the use of soft power represented in the various media, especially websites, and it may turn into a war of weapons and militias in what is known as proxy war, and it also depends on the use of psychological operations through rumors to reach specific goals in the imagination or The plan of who is doing it, and the proposals to confront the fourth generation wars were represented in the speed of providing information by the state’s official media, and the direct presence of state institutions on social networking sites, in addition to the need for a clear media strategy linked to the state’s plan and Egypt’s vision 2030, and the provision of awareness campaigns that we are facing a fourth-generation media war that targets the security and stability of the homeland, as well as the rationalization of the use of citizens for social networking sites. The study concluded that the respondents’ use of websites has an indirect role in influencing their attitudes, as it passes through the gate of the variable political awareness, and then without the respondents’ awareness being formed as a result of using websites; These sites will not have a role in shaping their attitudes.
