Abstract

The present study was a descriptive case control study which carried out to evaluate the level of Sirtuin1, ADAM17 and PARP1 in COVID‐19 diseased patients. We also aimed to establish a correlation between the above mentioned biomarkers with each other in COVID‐19 diseased patients who admitted at Chest Department, Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University Hospitals, in the period from the 1st of December 2020 up to the end of March 2021. The study included 84 subjects (60 COVID‐19 diseased patients, and 24 age and sex matched controls). Both studied groups were matched regarding to age and sex with no significant difference between them. With a male predominance among the studied cases; 55.0% of were males versus 45.0% were females.
