Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the effect of repeated firing and cement shade on final color of pressable ceramic. The materials used in this study were as the following: Presseble ceramic ingots vision low* (A3 shade). Dual cured resin cement relay x unicem** (A2 and A3 shades). Porcelain etch and silane ultradent. A total number of forty ceramic discs were designed and constructed in this study. Discs were divided into two main groups according to the shade of resin cement used: group A: all ceramic discs cemented by composite resin cement of A3 shade. (20 discs) group B: all ceramic discs cemented by composite resin cement of A2 shade. (20 discs) Each group was subdivided into four subgroups according to number of firing temperatures subgroup (S1): 3 firing times (5 discs) subgroup (S2): 4 firing times (5 discs) subgroup (S3): 5 firing times (5 discs) subgroup (S4): 6 firing times (5 discs) summery and conclusions 75 A tri - stimulus colorimeter values (L* a* b*) were recorded for each sample using a spectrophotometer and the data were calculated (xE, xL, xa and xb), tabulated and statistically analysed |
