Wound complications of endoscopic vein - graft harvesting versus open vein - graft in patients undergoing CABG

Abstract
The saphenous vein used for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures is traditionally harvested by means of the open technique, and as a consequence, lower limb wound complications are an important source of morbidity after CABG, occurring in about 15% of cases. Complications such as hematoma, dehiscence, skin necrosis, or wound infection increase the length of stay and delay rehabilitation, ambulation, and exercise training. In this study we took 50 patients of IHD selected as a sample by purposive non probability sample, to compare wound complications of both techniques. Patients were divided into two groups, each included 25 patients. group 2A3 patients was subjected to do CABG and they have endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting. group 2B3 patients were subjected to do CABG and they have open saphenous vein harvesting
