Abstract
The original work of this thesis is divided to three main original parts. In the first part, the reactivity of pyruvaldehyde phenylhydrazone derivatives was studied towards various (pyrazolylmethylene)malononitriles to synthesize 1,4-dihydropyridazine compounds bearing pyrazolyl groups and their condensed derivatives. Also, the reaction of the pyruvaldehyde phenylhydrazones with arylacrylamide derivatives was achieved to prepare new 1,4- dihydropyridazine compounds having carboxamide groups and their subsequent cyclizations to pyrimido[4,5-c]pyridazine derivatives that could also be synthesized from the reaction of pyruvaldehyde phenylhydrazone compounds with N-carbamoyl-2-cyano-3-phenylacrylamides in a single step
