Abstract Background and Objectives: Giving birth to a child is the most sacred right that God has gifted a woman with and as Doctors we must aim at reducing the parturient{u2019}s suffering, that is the labour pain a woman goes through during the process of delivery, either by reducing the duration of labour which helps in relieving her of the prolonged suffering or by using labour analgesia and hence trying to make the process of labour at ease for the woman as much as possible. Objective of this study was to achieve a safe vaginal delivery of patients who are included in the study and resulting in a healthy mother and a healthy baby. We sought to compare the efficacy of the titrated oral misoprostol solution versus Intravenous oxytocin infusion in augmentation of labour among pregnant women with gestational age from 36 to 42 weeks who have entered into active phase of labour spontaneously |
