Abstract This study was carried out to evaluate the biocompatibility and tissue reaction of a newly developed pulp capping material; Bioaggregate, Mineral Trioxide Aggregate and Calcium Hydroxide. Forty-five male albino rats were used as subjects in this study. The biocompatibility was assessed using subcutaneous tissues and skull bone as sites of implantation. The rats were anesthesized and shaved in the two selected areas. The discs of implanted materials were seated in a pre-depression hole in the skull bone and in the subcutaneous area. Fifteen animals were sacrificed at each observation period; 1, 2 and 3 months |
