Abstract
This work is to biologically and radiographically evaluate the implant supported distal extension partial overdenture corrected by altered cast impression technique and functional relining technique. Biological evaluation: Gingival index. Total protein measurements: Gingival fluid around the abutment. Implant exudate around the implant. Radiographic evaluation: Crestal bone level around the implant. Bone density around the implant. Patients were divided into two groups according to the method of adaptation of the distal extension part : first group patients has received partial overdenture done with altered cast impression technique. Second group patients has received the partial denture with functional relining of the finished denture method. Baseline measurements (at the time of the insertion of the prosthesis): Biological evaluation. Gingival index (GI) at teeth and implants. Gingival fluid measurement around the abutments. Implant exudates measurement around the implants
