المستخلص Accurate monitoring of chemical residue levels in aquaculture products is essential to assure food supply safety and manage global health risks. This thesis is concerned with the analysis of some antimicrobial agents used in the aquaculture industry; namely, sulphadiazine sodium (SDZ), sulphadimethoxine sodium (SDM), trimethoprim (TMP), florphenicol (FLOR), ciprofloxacin hydrochloride (CPX) and malachite green oxalate (MG). The aim of the present work is to develop simple, reliable and sensitive analytical methods for the detection and quantification of different antimicrobial residues in their pure powder forms, pharmaceutical formulations and in various aquaculture products; medicated fish feed, fish water and fish tissues. Different sample preparation and extraction procedures were employed and optimized for antimicrobials extraction, sample clean up and/ or concentration |
