Abstract
Pneumonia is common side effect in leukemia patients and considered the main cause of death in these patients. The positive influence of exercise on physiological parameters in leukemia patients has been demonstrated in several studies. This study, investigated selected exercise program efficacy on prevention of pneumonia in patients with different types of leukemia treated with high dose chemotherapy. Subjects: Forty patients with different types of leukemia were randomly selected from hematology department in Nasser institute with the age ranged from (50to65).They were divided into two matched groups {u2018}with equal numbers 20 patients in each group experimental group and control group. Methods: The Experimental group completed a 4-weeks program of aerobic exercises walking on (treadmill) and inspiratory muscles training with threshold device set on 50% of sustained maximum inspiratory effort plus routine chest physical therapy program
