The present work concerns with establishing and characterizing of a multi - capacity load cell which is a modern standard in the field of force measurements. To experiment and examine the proposed concept (multi - capacity load cell) necessary design, theoretical calculations and finite element analysis were performed before manufacturing and manufacturing the final prototype. The metrological characteristics of the finally produced prototype were evaluated using the force primary standards in Germany (PTB). The manufactured multi - capacity load cell could be considered as an effective addition in force measurements field. It introduces a new concept which is a breakthrough the traditional methods of designing standard force transducers. It can be used for industrial and commercial measurements
