In this thesis Different methods were proposed for the determination of some drugs acting on alpha receptor, in pure and in pharmaceutical dosage forms. These drugs include tamsulosin hydrochloride and tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride. RP-HPLC method was used for the determination of tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, prednisolone acetate and ofloxacin using Chloramphenicol as internal standard. RP-HPLC method and TLC method were used for the determination of tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, dexamethasone sodium phosphate and chloramphenicol in ternary mixture. Also RP-HPLC was used for the determination of dutasteride and tamsulosin hydrochloride in binary mixture. Difference spectrophotometric method and spectrofluorimetric method were applied for determination of tamsulosin hydrochloride. Moreover, second derivative spectrophotometric method was applied for determination of tamsulosin hydrochloride in presence of dutasteride in binary mixture
