Abstract It aimed to investigate the impact of two different sources of omega 3 (olive and fish oils) in growing rabbit diets on growth performance, carcass traits, some blood parameters, lipid profile, hematological values, and economic efficiency. Two hundred and ten APRI-line rabbits, with an average live body weight of 913.7±14.61 g and an age of 6 weeks, were divided and randomly assigned into seven experimental groups, each with 30 rabbits. Seven experimental diets were formulated to cover all the essential nutrient requirements for growing rabbits. The first diet was a basal diet without any supplementation and served as a control, while the second, third, and fourth diets were containing 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% olive oil, respectively, and the fifth, sixth, and seventh diets were containing 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% fish oil, respectively. All diets had roughly the same quantities of microelements and were nearly iso-nitrogenous in energy. |
