Abstract

The design of smoke extraction is very import part in any fire system design and should not affect the operation of the sprinkler in large stores. Incorrect design of the smoke extraction strategy may lead to delay in the response of the wet pipe sprinkler systems, which causes the high rate of loss of life and destruction of the building and its contents.
Study in this field have a direct and indirect impact on the human health and economic conditions, where the impact on the human health from fire emissions (smoke) must be understood. Smoke exposure can increase mortality while increased morbidity. Moreover, using computer modeling may affect on the fire safety design of the building which reflects on the cost reduction and reducing the energy consumption. The results of these simulations will be presented and discussed in the thesis
